This is a prototype/test version of the 2018 Highline seat bag.
- Functionality is the same as the current highline, but they are about 3 oz heavier due to heavier buckles and some fabrics.
- The blue bag has some minor tire damage (scuffing) and uses a narrower strap to hold the bag against the seat tube. The strap was cut down as an experiment and this bag might be slightly less stable on singletrack, but otherwise it’s perfectly functional.
- All of the bags cosmetic issues – straps were cut off and the bags were retrofitted to be more similar to the final version, so seams are not as polished as they would be on a new bag.
- Panda logos have been removed
The Highline is a harness-style seat bag with removable drybag.
The Highline comes with a tapered drybag made with Xpac fabric (Dyneema Composite Fabric option will be available in the future). Seams are sealed with Seam Grip for the Xpac version and tape for the Dyneema version.
The Highline is also one of the best seat bags for shorter riders – it’s required tire clearance is only 6.5 inches – significantly better than any comparable bag that we’re aware of.
