The Canelo is an extremely adjustable handlebar bag, with sealed seams and roll-top closures on both ends. Unlike other rolls which use heat-weldable fabrics, the Canelo uses a unique process to seal the seams of Xpac laminate fabric. This means that it is much more durable than most dry bags of the same weight.
The attachments to your handlebars can move along a daisy chain made of heavy duty webbing, so you can space them out as wide as possible for maximum stability, or closer together to accommodate brake levers and shifters if need be. Extra loops provide for additional attachments on Jones Bars.
Compression straps on the front allow you to compress the bag, and to attach a sleeping pad, packrafting paddle, or other items to the outside of the roll.
The Canelo comes in three sizes:
Small – 6″ diameter – 10 liters
Medium – 7″ Diameter – 14 liters
Large – 8″ Diameter – 18 liters (this one might rub on suspension forks)
All sizes range from 12″ to 24″ wide, depending on how many times you roll down the roll top closures on each end.
We recommend the Medium for general use, the Small if you have very compact gear, and the Large if you really need to fit a lot of stuff. However, we don’t recommend the Large size for suspension forks, because it often will rub on the tire. The small can be tough to pack a sleeping bag into unless the bag is a high-fill-power down bag.
